| You are the practitioner if you are the licensed professional administering to the eye care needs of a Spencer Vision plan patient. |
Requirements to become a Network PractitionerNetwork practitioners agree to see Spencer Vision patients and to care for them in the same manner as all other patients. They also agree to participate in all Spencer Vision plans at the discount rate specified in the plan. This rate is generally 20-25% and always contains a maximum dollar amount of discount. |
| Practitioner claims are sent to Spencer Vision either on-line or via toll free fax lines. Spencer Vision then interfaces with the plan database to acquire eligibility information. The amount of the eligible dollar benefit for the patient is communicated back to the practitioner. The practitioner then collects from the patient the difference between the eligible benefit and the retail price. Spencer Vision pays the eligible dollar benefit directly to the practitioner at the discounted rate. |
